This book was a lot of fun! Great writing and memorable characters, what else does a reader need? Thanks for sharing it and congrats! It was also the first serial I’ve read from beginning to end on Substack.

It was a helluva journey. Not the ending I expected, and Tanner's ability to crossover sure leaves room for a continuation.

Congratulations on finishing.

It was a fun ride.

Thanks! I'm so grateful that you've stuck with it from beginning to end... honestly your support has meant so, so much.

I'm glad I found it. It's the only serial I've finished on here. In fact, the only other one I've ever finished is Josh Malerman 's Carpenter's Farm.

You're welcome. Finishing that is a great accomplishment. Probably should give it one more editing pass before you release on eBook.

Well a big reason I have it available for free was that it hasn't had a professional edit, and it was a project I never thought I'd ever share (glad I did though.) And yeah, although I went over each chapter a couple times before posting there are certainly a few janky parts, especially considering I wrote the first draft in 2020 and my writing has changed a lot since then. The ebook will be what I've posted here, and so despite only having my self-edits done, it should be a better reading experience for those who prefer that.

That fact that people have been enjoying it warts-and-all, just blows my mind. It's been really cool to see.

I don't know when I'll be posting another serial, but I've got updates to future "proper" novels and of course there'll still be short stories and poetry.

If I were to ever get PMU a professional edit, of course being budget dependant, I'm hoping to get some artwork done and do a nice hardback or something. We'll see!

Illustrated would be amazing. I'd love to see the horses. I'd love to see a lot of it, but especially the horses.
